Title: Aerio, Reno 2.0 - same as Tracker 2.0 ?
Post by: dustybadlands on December 16, 2009, 10:35:30 AM
Somethin's busted in the GF's '02 Tracker and it wont start. Sounds funny when it cranks over so I think it might be one of the timing chains. It's a 2.0 and I found some 2.0 Suzuki engines for sale out of a "Reno" and an "Aerio". Are these the same engines? I would just swap out the long blocks and be good to go if they fit. Anybody know? ???

I know the Aerio is. If the Reno also runs the J20A then it is too. You could always gor the upgrade while you're at it and swap in the Aerio 2.3. The J23A is a larger capacity J20A.

And isn't the J20 just a stretched J18?

So...the Aerio is good and the Reno is Korean(?) so not good, correct? I don't have a 2.3 available to choose from. Is there some distinguishing marks like "J20A" or something to be sure? I'm gonna take pics and all I need is the longblock.
