Title: 5 person Suzuki
Post by: garyhickman on December 24, 2009, 11:13:55 AM
I have been thinking about getting a Suzuki for our family to ride on trails and do some light 4 wheeling.  My issue is that there are five of us.  I was thinking about getting a Samurai and letting my wife drive it and take the kids and then I would ride my motorcycle or 4 wheeler.  Are there any Suzuki models that can seat 5 people (two adults and three kids) that are suitable for trail riding?

Thanks,
Gary

like this  ;) works geat, and seats 7

the lifts for the 99+ trackers and vitaras work for the xl-7's as well, the 180hp v6 is nice as well, and the automatic for offroad use is great!

That is a pretty nice looking XL7.  What all have you done to it?

A GV might work, if the kids are still pretty small.

The Sidekicks, even the 4 doors only have 4 seatbelts and are tight in back with 3. The XL7 would probably be the best bet. They are a little pricey though. The Vitaras may have 3 belts and I think are a little larger. By the way, I make 2" suspension lift kits for the newer models as well as the 98 and older ones.

My Grand Vitara is really tight with 5 people.  3 small kids in the back would be OK, but I think an XL-7 would be better.

Have you considered getting two Track/Kicks or a Kick & a Sami and take two vehicles?  Its much safer to have at least two vehicles when wheeling. I would think you could pick up two for as much as one XL7.  My husband & I have enjoyed having two zuks so we can go just ourselves if nobody else wants to go, we have a backup when one is being repaired or upgraded, and I don't have to ride with a crazy driver!

It's not a Zuk but we have a Mitsu Montero Sport that is a decent wheeler out of the box and seats 5 fine.  They are a pretty decent value too.
