6" suspension lift and 8" combo(+2" bodylift)
The rockfather!
http://www.rocky-road.com/kicksus.html
"The most eagerly anticipated suspension product of the decade.
The Rockfather 6" suspension lift, and Rockfather II 8" combination system are in their final phases of R&D and product testing... where we beat up on things enough to make even the 'Don' flinch. We hope to have the kits on the shelf this Fall. This kit is chock full of great features like ultra-flexy Johnny Joints and other trick components. We're going to be calling in our markers and putting a 'hit' on the competition due to their inability to 'measure up'. No specific release date is yet set. We will have that information on the website as soon as it is available. Buckle up folks.... Sidekicks and Trackers are about to enter a whole new universe." ÂÂ
But we will probably need to wait another year for this?!?

please not again its like getting my hopes up for a new bike at christmas and getting the knitted wool sweater, maybe this year santa can fricken deliver some time before im in a decked out walker playing shuffle board.

I always find it funny how they make ambiguous comments about Calmini. It's kind of unprofessional IMHO
And don't give me any crap about "they never specified the competition."
There is no other competition ;)
-
But surely their comments are not ambiguous if they don't specifically mention a different manufacturer :o
;)
I couldn't care less what company I buy my stuff from at this point... as long as they have good customer service and top-notch parts.
-
Yah
At least Calmini isn't advertising their SAS vapor-ware on their website yet.
Time will tell.

think about a 9in lifted tracker. ::) what kinda tire size tire would we be running? 37s? geaing for that tire size??? i'm not saying that the kit won't work well but not many people need that much lift. but hummm... i might be able to run some 40's under my tracker now. :D

a 6" lift MIGHT be nice... eliminating the current need for a body lift to run tires bigger than 31's. It'd also get those framerails up away from the ground, but then again, it's probably going to be a diff-drop style lift, so you'd end up with worse clearance in the front than the Calmini 3".

Are you serious? Around here 36's are pretty much the minimum size you would want to run on most trails.

I'm thinking it's the sas kit using d44 axles, I couldn't imagine wasting the clever name "rock father" on an IFS lift kit.
-
8" Lift ....... Isn't that an SAS Kick ???
Remember Boys and Girls RR uses body and
suspension lift added together to get the Lift
height #s
Technicaly speaking I've been running a 7"
lift for 3 years now, so I'm not so impressed
with these #s
I have plans in the head to build a 6" all suspension
lift, if I ever get time or cash to fab the parts :P
Allways some hangup keeping me from being ultra
trick

I agree with ya.
I wasn’t trying to pledge allegiance with Calmini. Just found it funny how RR always points fingers in their ads.
I'm curious to see what their lift will include.

I guess your not a RRO customer then huh??????
-
Pictures...we need pictures..spy photos or something >:(
They can't post something like that with out any pictures..
-
Yeah, pics. Or at least a description of how it's done. If it's a diff drop it definetly wouldn't be the greatest thing since sliced bread. But maybe they did some original thinking. :P HA HA

Or at least a description of how it's done.
Well, it works like this:  Glenn Wakefield sits in a sweat-lodge, burning exotic um, herbs, until something falls into his brain, and then he writes ads for it.
For instance:
Soon out from Rocky Road....
Rockcrusher skidplates are based on the original Con-Ferr design. Nothing is beefier, nothing protects better.
A two piece integrated design, which can also be purchased separately. These provide the ultimate in protection against rocks, branches, and other trail hazards for your drivetrain and underside of your vehicle.
Really offers substantial protection. An absolute must for any off-road Kick or Tracker.
Very simple bolt-on mounting requires no welding. Easy install and easy removal for routine maintenance needs. The best design on the market, at the best price.
He's been saying that for probably THREE YEARS!
::)

Well somebody better send pics of something. I'm thinking of going Yota axles since everybodys talking about doing a big lift for a Tracker and nothing is out there yet. :-/
-
I guess your not a RRO customer then huh??????
Actually, no. I've got the Calmini 6" combo lift, which I am fairly pleased with. No, I've never had a problem with their customer service. I was just stating that just because I bought stuff from Calmini in the past doesn't mean that I'm going to continue to do so. If RRO has better stuff than Calmini when I'm looking for a product, I'll get it from RRO. :-/

Great!
Now when do I get one for my GV?

i thought this rockfather lift kit was ifs??? but heather posted a pick of that solid axle kick that RRO has been advertising on there website ALSO. so i am confused ???
shane
-
this is rro proto type lift kit. although it won't be a bolt in kit, it should be interesting when it comes out. a well engineered sas kit for the trackick is needed. either from rro or calmini doesn't matter, as this will bring on lots of new trackick owners to the modded community. i also remember heather showing another picture from her trip to rro about this kit.
sweet... ;D
-
so is the rock father a SAS kit??? i'm comfused

Totally off subject, but Heather is a cutie. Not what I expected given her butch Kick.

Ya, but what a Kick ;D

Here's what I see as the fundamental problem with the Track/Kick parts/mods market: they don't make them anymore. Two-door, SWB, convertible, 4x4 models, that is, which is what I'm primarily interested in. And with the small user base, it just doesn't seem like there's a future for this product line. That's an advantage Jeeps have; y'all may talk trash about'em, but there's a critical mass of product that guarantees a plentiful supply of parts, both aftermarket & salvage yard.
-
Don't forget, they still make parts for the Sammie and they haven't made that in 10years.
So, Wait a few more years and parts for the kickers will be coming out of the woodwork, In theory ;D

I think so too.

They haven't made Jeep CJ's in more than 10 years... so there's no aftermarket future for it? That's some fucked-up logic you've got there.

I think the majority of modded vehicles are a few years old at least because its their age that makes them affordable. Few people will modify a truck will its still covered by the warranty and non current models are cheaper too. The Track/Kick is starting to take off now because its more affordable.
