Someone over at suzuki-forums.com mentioned that TracKick owners have been known to use Samurai spindles and hubs on their TracKicks as a useful mod - I guess to "simplfy" the bearing replacement process.
I have never heard of this mod. I might add that the person talking about the mod added a "lowlife" tone to his description of TracKick owners who did this...
Has anyone ever done this mod?? Is it even possible??

You can't use Sammy spindles on a Track/Kick, (as far as I know)
and what is the big problem with changing bearings anyway???
not like changing tires or brakes, I'm still on my first set of bearings
and that's 270,000 miles on the Trucklet

I have them on a Kick rear axle but that is a whole different thing ;D

Hey CJ did they bolt right up to the flange or ??? what did you do to make em fit?
I was toying around with the idea to put Front Track/Kick spindles onto the rear axle
and make a full floater out of it with rear disks and hub lockouts for super easy flat towing

We did this to build full floater rears for some Sammis. We had some adapter flanges laser cut as the bolt patterns are different between the Kick and the Sammi. Bolted them on then welded them up. The front spindles then bolt on which also gives disc rears. The axles have been made from EN26 and we have used the solid hub flanges from SJ410's or GV's. So far they are holding up to 35" Krawlers and Q78 Swampers. I've been on it pretty hard landing back on one wheel under power multiple times and they are still holding together 8)

I thought this might be the case. Your points are valid in my opinion.
He's yet another "expert" who reads a post, then looks at a FSM drawing and "assumes" that the spindle assemblies are interchangeable because the mounting system look similar on both trucks... >:(

Driving in water and mud the rear wheel bearings last no time at all.I also get lots of flex in the bearings with 33s. I've been considering a fully floating rear axle myself.

Front Track/Kick spindles are a close fit for a swap to the rear axle.
A little machine work and the holes welded and re-drilled and it will
fit. add a set of rear Maxima brakes and you could have a full floater
with a parking brake that I think will accept the stock Track/Kick parking
brake cable ends, as the Maxima calipers are Tokiko (sp) which are
stock manufacturer for Suzuki as well.
The only thing stopping me from doing this is the unknown axle length
that would be needed, and that might need to be made also causing
a problem if it breaks on the trail, where do I get a replacement???
But this mod would allow the use of a lockout hub on the rear also
and a super easy way of flat towing without having to drop the driveshaft.

All you need to do is take a couple of measurements. I maybe able to get them for you though. We are just finishing another one at the moment. We flip them, one side is still Factory length and the other side we cut down to put the diff centre in the right place for a Sammi but the very first one we never flipped so it would be the Factory length for the other side as well. I'll see if I can get the guy who has it now to pull it and measure the length as I don't think we have the measurements for that one kicking around. We are using 10mm plates so you would need to subtract that if you were going to bolt yours on directly.
No we have no spares but it seems to be coping with the tyre sizes we run. At least if it breaks we can pull it and keep driving in 3wd as we are all locked in the rear and the wheel can't fall off. We can always get another one made fairly quickly.
We have one just being finished at the moment that is going to try using locking hubs but they are a known weak point. If this was a concern to you then you could use the solid flanges offroad and swap over to the locking hubs on when you want to flat tow it. The next one hasn't decided yet what he will run.

Ah-HA! I think I understand the confusion...
This guy heard that TracKick folks were using Sammy front spindles but he did not know that they were being used on the REAR axle to replace the drum brakes and add locking hubs!
Am I reading this right???

Ya, I'm using the stock Maxima Caliper mount, it goes between the housing and the spindle
and makes the caliper a perfect fit to the rotor location
