Post by: tracker92 on January 12, 2010, 04:51:55 PM
ok heres the deal, i just put a big stick through my radiator when i was wheelin the other day. i got it replaced but i wanted to see if there is some sort of protection i can put up front other than an expensive tube or plate bumper? anyone know of any products of ideas for something i could cook up in my garage?

my rig is a 92 geo tracker 2dr tin top, pretty much all stock

through the slats in the bottom of the bumper. it hit the lower right corner of the radiator.

that sounds like a pretty good idea, kinda like a skid plate just on the front there. i might see what i can do about that. or... anyone in Washington (preferably western wa) that has a tube bumper or skid plate they want to let go for cheap?

You could just build your own, a couple people have done similar.  Calimini also sells skid plates.

I got my skids from Aftermarket.com for a solid price.  I really loved them and never had a "stick" issue or worry.
