hey people,
I am new to this forum but I have been thinking about doing a little work to my Suzuki Jimny (2001) but I have a few questions to begin with.
I am looking for to get new alloy wheels, but looking around the internet there seems to be a lot of information and I dont know whats relevant to me and what's not... I have heard about making sure the offset is correct what is this?
Secondly, I am just wanting to know what performance parts I can install on the Jimny in terms of giving the car a little more power.
Thirdly when I drive around the roads in my city my cars is very bumpy, the city I live in is full off small pot holes and uneven roads and I am wanting to know if I can upgrade the suspension or something to get rid of this bumpy feeling.
I am probably asking newbie questions, but I am a newbie but I learn fast ;)
thanks.

Welcome to Zukiworld.
Where do you live? (country) Because the Jimny isn't available in the US,
tho I know that many of the ZW board members wish it was.
There aren't any US companies making any aftermarket parts for that
vehicle here.
I hope some of the Europe members have some good info for you

Jump on jimny.se and have a look on the forum. DG Tuning carry some bits for the Jiimny.
I think your model still has the earlier G13BB engine so you could always swap in the Swift GTi G13B dohc or swap in the G16 1.6 for more power. You would need a 1.3 to 1.6 adapter and a G16B bottom end but the top end is basically the same.

Performance parts depend on whether it is an M13 engine or a G13. A 1.6 from a similar age Baleno is a good swap, read up on the 1.6 swap into a Samurai, its very similar, the 1.3 ECU seems to work well with the Baleno injectors. Have a look on Difflock.com as well, there are a good few Jimnys on there, SimonDoc is the man with the 1.6 knowledge. There are quite a few aftermarket wheel options, Suzuki themselves offered several options, usually 7" rims with 95mm of backspacing.
The ECU should be remappable but I've not had a look inside a Jimny one.
