Title: EFI question???

I have an 89 tracker 8v 4x4 5 speed on this intake it has like a plastic sensor in between the carb and intake dont know what it does but.  my question is i have an 8v motor out of a 1993 tracker  would i be able to use the carb/intake off that motor and use my computer??

are you talking about the TBI?   if you are, some of the early ones have a heater in between there.  it is usually found on autos.  there are not found on the 91 and newer.  it helps the runability for the poor idle control on the early models.

ok yah it has a hot and a ground its in between the tbi and intake manifold it was an auto but i converted it to a 5 speed i just wanted to know if i could use the 93 tbi and not have a problem with it thanks

it has different wiring and ecm.  so it is not plug and play.  Different connections. so you will need to convert the wiring, disty, ECM, valve cover, and maniforld.  I have one of each in my samurais...

That plastic thing is an air heater, I thought it was for cold weather
starting, I removed mine years ago, as I don't live in a cold climate.

I think it's called the positive temperature coefficient heater, or
something like that, it has a basket like thing with a screen like
thing on the bottom of the basket
