I've been running for the last year on 3 cyl    and didn't know it     so I'm rebuilding the motor  i run 6.5 gears 33's with a fresh motor I'm hoping to get the use of 5Th gear back      just looking for feed back and suggestions

Before you put money into a rebuild i would remove the head and check the cyl walls.  They are thin to start in new motors and I have seen some wear right through into the next chamber....  Maybe check that before you buy a rebuild kit.  My friends father had a samurai like this that he just drove around the farm for years... lol

A 1.6 16v/8v would get your 5th gear back  ;D

Yeah honestly it is not really worth the $$ compared to putting in a 1.6

dose any one have a 1.6 and wiring harness close to southwest wa  i have 1500 buck to get a new motor in the sami  thats y i was going to rebuild

If you go with a 1.6L 8v you can cheat and use your existing intake and exhaust.  Then all you need is engine mounts and the transmission adapter.  Throw on a side-draft carb and you can run at all sorts of fun angles.

d and r autorecyclers in eugene oregon has 2 1.6 sitting on the shelf  750 bucks I believe

I got a 16v and will have the stock wiring and ECM as soon as my buddy gets it out of the car I gave him. If you are interested $750.00. I am in Salem, Oregon.

I have 94 8 valve harness and ecm  4wheel drive sidekick for sell 150.00 for both
