I've been running for the last year on 3 cyl and didn't know it so I'm rebuilding the motor i run 6.5 gears 33's with a fresh motor I'm hoping to get the use of 5Th gear back just looking for feed back and suggestions
thanks jon

Before you put money into a rebuild i would remove the head and check the cyl walls. They are thin to start in new motors and I have seen some wear right through into the next chamber.... Maybe check that before you buy a rebuild kit. My friends father had a samurai like this that he just drove around the farm for years... lol

A 1.6 16v/8v would get your 5th gear back ;D

Yeah honestly it is not really worth the $$ compared to putting in a 1.6

dose any one have a 1.6 and wiring harness close to southwest wa i have 1500 buck to get a new motor in the sami thats y i was going to rebuild
-
If you go with a 1.6L 8v you can cheat and use your existing intake and exhaust. Then all you need is engine mounts and the transmission adapter. Throw on a side-draft carb and you can run at all sorts of fun angles.
