Can't seem to find my answer on search...How much does the 4door weigh? Give or take?
-
A little over 2700.
-
That looks a little light to me - the SideKick is essentially the US market version of the Vitara, so from my Vitara owner's manual - a 1.6L 5-door weighs in at 3,748 lbs Gross Vehicle Weight
-
I'm just going by what my owners manual says.
GVW (gross vehicle weight) is maximum allowed/recommended weight of the vehicle plus cargo. GVW is not how much a vehicle weighs.
The OP is actually asking about curb weight (vehicle weight only) and not GVW as the title of this thread might suggest.
-
I see....
So the answer varies according to whether you read the title (which I did) or the post itself (which you did) - I did not notice he was actually asking two different questions.

Yeah. I think he was meaning to ask how much the 4 door weighs, since that is what he asked in the post. But the title is misleading.
-
Sorry guys, Curb Weight. Thanks
-
Ya, surprising enough the 4 door only weighs in at
200 to 250 pounds over the 2 door, 2700 Lbs is
pretty close.

I took a stock 94 4 door over a hwy weight scale and it was right at 3700 with nobody in it.
-
Hmmm, we have a impasse here.
When I drove trucks, my brother came to where I worked and put his 95 4
door on the 60' scale and got like 2680 lbs. my 2 door weighs in at 2500 almost
exactly with 5 Swampers on Rockcrawler wheels so I'm not sure where the
difference in the weight is from yours to our trucks, but 1000 lbs is a big difference
and I'm wondering if you were thinking 3700 and it's 2700 instead.

I know it said 3700, but maybe the scale was off or something. I don't know. we drive dump trucks and when you go into rock pits or what every scale you go across if different some times by 500 pounds.
-
This review reports 2989lbs.

I came in at 3080lbs at the recycling company down the road from me. I wanted to know for winch purposes you know the rule 1.5 times your vehicle weight
-
Ya, Heather and Nathans 4 door weighs in at a hefty 5500 :o
But then again the truck has FJ axles and heavy bumpers front
and rear as well as a Kicker 3 twin t-case setup and probably some
other goodies I can't remember
