Title: Blown Seal on Differential
Post by: Goteboy1 on February 09, 2010, 08:24:52 PM
I have a question: We think we blew the seal on the front yoke of the differential. Gear oil all over the front of the rear end and all over the underside of the samurai. Would it be easier to change the seals on the differential or change the entire rear end? Also, if we do change it, are the gear ratios standard? We have an 88.5 Tin Top Samurai.

Thanks!

The seal is easy to change, the flange on the diff is a bear to get off
but wheels on the ground, brake set and an impact should get it off.

Good Luck
