Depends.  Did it turn on because you "rolled over" a certain odometer reading (like 120,000 miles)?

If so, you can flip the switch under the dash, and turn it off.  If it's because of a real malfunction (like my EGR sensor), then no, you have to FIX the problem for it to go away.

A screwdriver to remove the guage pod and some nippers to cut the wires ;)

Can you tell me where  this switch is located?

There is a switch under your dash to turn the light off. It comes on every 50, 70, 80, 100k, ect miles. NOTE: The switch is only on 95 and older track kicks.

There are two locations for this switch. One is right behind the plastic dash piece under the steering column. Just pop that peice off, and look for a switch. The other location is right behind the driver's side dash speaker. Take the speaker out and look behind it, to the right.

Hope this helps!
