Does a 96 Sidekick Sport 4 spd. auto have 5.12's? Also Are the axles longer? What would need to be switched on a 95 tracker to put sport axles underneath? Are the transfers the same?
-
You basically have 4.62 gears. And I have ran 96 and up rear axles, they are massive and holds up just fine. Go with 5.12 you ll be happy. Transfer case, you can buy the gear set from Trail Tough.

Your sport should have 5.12 gears.
The axles and axle assemblies should be the same as any other 89-98 trackick....so they should interchange.
The transfer cases are interchangable with any other 89-98 trackick transfer case. Note, that 89-95 transfer cases have a 26 spline output shaft, while 96-98 transfer cases have a 16 spline output shaft.

I thought the axles on the Sports were wider.

Yes, they are wider.

Has anyone used them on the front of the none sport models to get more cv travel?
-
I'm using a front long side axle from a Grand Vitara, it's about 1/4" longer than
stock housing on my 89' Kick

What does this do Wild?

I just grabbed it so I have 26 splines in the front
instead of the 22 that it came with.
