Title: 1.8L Temp sensor location?

Can anyone verify the location of the temp sensor on the 1.8L motor? The 1.6L location is not the same.

I see some sort of sensor behind the exhaust manifolds but I would like to confirm its location. Thanks

I believe it's on the back of the cylinder head (outlet elbow actually) between the engine and the firewall - look from the right side (not the exhaust side) and you should find it.

The sensors on the exhaust side are ...

- cam position sensor - at the back of the cylinder head
- O2 sensor - on the manifold
- oil pressure sender - on the block under the manifold.
