Title: Technical Service Bulletin (TSBs)
Post by: eyb on February 14, 2010, 10:29:39 PM
Can anyone provide the remedy/mechanical procedure to be done on TSB No. 06011703R, "oil seepage/weepage" from left front of engine and TSB No. 0602244R2. "oil leaking form left front of engine". I seems that both of these TSBs are present in my Grand Vit.

That would be the timing cover leak on the V-6's.

Here is the sealant info w/diagram...

Great information! I uploaded the TSB to our system so it doesn't dissappear.

LOL, that timing chain  thing was the primary reason I tried to stay away from the V6. Found a low mileage ZR2 and went for it. After 35K miles it is just great. I questioned the service mgr about it and he said the problem was rectified, seems to be.

It's not as scary as some would lead you to believe.

I've got 236,000 miles on my 2.5 and it runs great. It's still quiet and has never been apart!  ;)
