What is the 92 1.3 engine in? I didn't know they still made them (in the US)
in that year unless it was in a Swift.
But to answer your Q, it might, depends on what your putting it into

its in a Samurai I didn't know if it would bolt up being it was fuel injected throttle body I know the distributor is different the 88 had manual fuel pump and the 92 electric I thought I could take out fuel pump shaft and put a low pressure electric fuel pump in
-
Yes, that will work, like you said, you just need a fuel pump.
Check to see if the newer engine has a block off plate, it might
just take your stock fuel pump

Thanks man I'm going to give it a try when I get time

The 92 head will have a fuel pump block off plate on it. The problem will be that the cam doesn't have the lobe to run the carbed fuel pump. So you will have to either swap heads or cams to run a manual fuel pump.
Heads, intakes, distributors, exhaust manifolds, will all interchange between EFI (90-95) and carbed (86-89) samurais.
