Title: What gears would be good for a 1990 2 door 1.6L sidekick with 32" tires?
Post by: Rubberducky on March 25, 2010, 06:42:21 AM
I have a 1990 sidekick 1.6L with a 3" Calmini lift and later I want to get th body lift as well, But I will need to lower the gears. I like where it is now with the 30" tires but when I go to 32" I know I will need the gearing.
Any sugestions of what you guys have been happy with?

Thanks
Joey

i have the 6" combo calmini lift with 33x12.50 front and 33x13.50 rear with 5.125 gearing and its doing pretty good. i am waiting for the rite priced set of 5.385 to come around i think will help mine a little more..  i dont do much rock crawling mostly trail riding play in a few mud holes and the 5.125 work good for what i do..and i drive it daily to work 32 miles round trip.

I ran 31x10'5's in my 94 tracker when it had 4.62's it was ok but highway speeds it would lack alittle power.  I went to 5.12's and had no issues and loved it.
