the 89 tracker it has the 1.3l 8 valve and what gearing

If it is a tracker, then I doubt it has a 1.3.  I have never seen, or heard, of an 89 tracker with a 1.3......all have been sidekicks.
Oh, and the 1.3 will be carbed, not EFI, and it will have a manual tranny (5 speed) behind it, not an automatic.
If all of that checks out, then it has 5.62 gears.  Otherwise, it has either 5.12s (manual tranny), or 4.62s (auto tranny).
