I am looking at a new clutch for my samurai. It has 33" super swampers with 6.5-1 t-case gears and a spool in the rear and a locker up front. I was wondering how stiff the clutch pedal will be with a performance clutch. It's not a daily driver but my left foot was crushed in an accident a year ago and i have a hard time with really stiff clutches so i am a little worried about how stiff these after market clutches are.

I have run exedy clutches which are about the same price as stock but with 30% more holding power. loved them, seems just as easy to push as stock and wheeled the heck out of them. My friend runs 33's and had centerforce clutch and thats the best you can get, I recommend it and I think you will be fine with your foot. I have a bad leg and it seemed pretty easy to me. Hope this helps.

How well would a stock replacement clutch hold up on 33" tires with lockers

I run a stock clutch in my SJ-410 with 33" tires, 6.5 gears and 5.12 in the diffs. Never had any issues. How long did it taek to destroy your existing one?

It is still the same clutch from when i bought the samurai so i don't know how many miles are on it or how much off roading he did. So I think i will try a stock replacment clutch and see how long it last and then replace with a performance one later on.
