That's awefully narrow.
I'd bet the original 5.5 wide inch rims were like 2.5 inch backspacing.  (nearly centered)

Why would you want to go narrower?
WIDE buddy, use zero backspacing!

now the wheels i have are 16x8 i'm putting 20x8.5 on. The wheels i have now are set at 5 inch even backspacing. the wheels i'm getting have a 5 and 1/8 back side setting. I have put many 5 inch back side settings before on kicks not anything over that though.

Don't forget that center on an 8 inch rim would be using 4 inch backspacing.

If you wanted wider tires to be able to put maximum grip to the ground and to be able to handle the massive amounts of power these trucklets put out AND want to be able to 'dub' your vehicle, I guess a more then centered backspacing might be do-able.
That way the outter edge of your tire will still be able to be stuffed inside the wheel well.  I'd be carefull though, too much backspacing might rub on the a-arms.

;D

Hey anyone know of a place that carries a kit to correct alignment issues that come from a dropped vehicle?
