Title: Weber carb on a 1.6
Post by: jawman on April 03, 2010, 10:01:44 PM
I have a 1.6 8 valve and the tbi is not in good condition. I was wondering if the Weber carb for a sami will fit the 1.6 intake or I need to put a sami intake on there ???

if you use an intake off a 1.3 you can run a weber  intake bolts right on your 8v 1.6 head

I was just wondering if I could use the 1.6 intake because there are not a lot of sami intakes lying around for sale.

I don't really know what they are worth. there was one in Salem a couple of months ago for $20, but I never got down there. I don't know if it is still for sale or not. my other question is if I take the computer out with the tbi will the dissy and tach still work? is there an after market intake manifold for the sami that would be better than using a stock sami intake manifold?

You'll be missing too many sensors for the ECU to run properly so use a Sammy dizzy and coil instead.

Yup.  I run my Samurai this way.

Samurai Intake and and Distributor are needed.  The ECU can be removed and all the sensors disconnected.

Check with Hawks Strictly Suzuki  888-SAMURAI. They have all kinds of Samurai parts!  Bonus, they are in Oregon!  (assuming that you live in Salem Oregon...  ;D )

I hope that this helps!

If I got this right I can put a sami disy and intake on my 1990 geo 1.6 8 valve and run a webber. question, how do I hook up the disy?

I have both sitting here. Complete 1.3 intake with a new Weber on it,and a 1.6 8 valve intake with the sensors,tb and inlet tube.

I bought a weber 32/36 the other day, and there is a local guy that says he has an intake, but has not called me back yet.
zuki-girl what is you stuff worth? is your tbi set up for the vacume dissy or electronic one?
