Title: Sidekick Off Set and Tire rubbing questions
Post by: BIGTSV on April 08, 2010, 07:54:17 AM
What offset do you guys run on a 15x7 rim? Im going to be getting tires soon and want to do rims also. I have a 2 spacer and 2 body lift. Plan on running 31x10.5, maybe 31 x 9.50 or maybe 31x11.50 not sure which tires yet. I would like to go with the
31 x 11.50 but I do not want to rub all the time. Im not afraid to cut some metal out!!

So what offset and tires do you guys run? And how much do they rub or not rub?

Thanks
Tom

I just put on some 15x7 with 2.5 backspacing. With Jeff's spacers 2" and 3" bodylift I rub the rear of the front fenders with 31x10.50 Big Horns. I've been driving it for 2 days. I just can turn very sharp at all. I plan on fixing this weekend. I have the 3 speed auto with 4.62's, I plan on putting in some 5.13's. The 31's didn't hurt the power as much as I thought though.

i have 7" rims and 31x10.5x15 tires. i believe the offsett is 3.5". aftermarket rims off a cj.
1/2"spacers in front.
1 1/8" body lift.
hammer/cut/bend the rear of the front wells to fit better.
tried 8" rims(offset?) but more rub- didn't want to hammer any more.
i would expect less well modification w/more body lift.
2" spacers in rear- no real rub issues.
