I'm thinking about a set of these round 7" headlights for my samurai, so I can add HID lights and have a well focused/aimed light from my little rig. I could use some opinions first though, has anyone used em? opinions?

Those look cool, I would change out the H4 blue bulbs for a set of
Silverstars, those are the brightest ones I've ever seen, better light
than a 100w spot bulb in my off road lights

I"ve been told the silverstars are worth it. I FULLY intend to do that first, then later a 4500k bi xenon HID kit.
-
I was reading a headlight bulb shootout, if you will, and the only
bulbs that were any better than the stock bulbs in this article, was
the Silverstar, this was about a year or so ago, so I don't know if
there have been any improvements but other than HID I don't
think you can do much better
-
I know my last motorcycle had HID lighting, never toyed with the silverstars, but the HID lights took me from seeing 1/4 mile away to seeing pretty much a whole mile down the road.
I'll pick up some silverstars first, everything I hear is good, you're just reinforcing that. but eventually, the HID kit is my ultimate goal, and whole reason for the projectors.

I have those head lights i had the silverstar bulbs i didn't like them I went with 10k HID's love them
-
awesome! thats EXACTLY what I was hoping to hear. I'm a little unsure because they're so cheap, but hey, I'll try em at least for that price, worst comes to worst, I can get some projectors from a BMW at the LKQ yard and mod em up my way.

I Get my HID's for 75 bucks shipped to my door I can get you the web site I have ordered lots of sets i sell them you will not have high beams but you dont need them you have to move the wires around in the plug to get them to light up only takes a minute and i could get you a pic of the wires that need moved

The site for the HID's is www.tspny.com (http://www.tspny.com) hope that helps

here's mine

Ok Fordguy, those just look awesome. soon as I'm able to send the money to them, I'm ABSOLUTELY buying a set.
-
They are like $60 for a HID bulb replacement, I want a set too, what
temp do you think would be the best for off road night driving 10K
or 12K or ???

Depends, do you want a bluish tint or pure BRIGHT WHITE light? 4300 is pure white light, and VERY VERY bright. 6000 is close as well. each makes for a BLINDINGLY bright upgrade. Personally, I'm biased on HID kits toward DDM, since they've got an excellent rep in the business. little more money, but 100% worth it.
-
I'm running them in my 88 Sammi and love them.

Let me ask this question ...
We have a thread on projector headlamps and HIDs - we have responses and a couple of pictures - of the front of the vehicle and the headlamp, but none showing the light in front of the vehicle, as you would expect to see it from the driver's seat.
Where does the interest lie? In what your vehicle looks like to an uncoming driver (which is the view seen in the pictures attached) or in being able to see better in the dark (which is the view not shown at all).
What would be nice is before and after pictures, taken from the driver's perspective - at least that's where my interest lies.

Good point there. IDGAF how the truck looks at all, what I DO care about, is that I can see well at night, considerng I like being out at night, this is critical to me. if I cannot see, its wasted money.
