Title: Anyone SF Bay with Samurai on coils?
Post by: turboocco on April 19, 2010, 12:07:41 PM
I'm considering going with a coil suspension kit on my Samurai, because I want a really smooth ride on mountain dirt roads. Hoping that there might be someone in the SF Bay area that has a Samurai on coils that would be up for giving me a ride sometime so I can see how they ride.

My thinking is that I would go with really soft coils and use Firestone Coil-rite inside them so that I can stiffen them up when needed and keep the ride soft most of the time:

Shoyrtt, had a coil sprung Sammy with a long arm kit, I think he said
it was a Rocky Road kit, and was equipped with 175Lb springs, had a
good and soft ride, a little lean in the corners, but I don't think there
were any sway bars so that's typical

I would say go for it
