Where can I find a rear seat for a Suzuki Samurai, I've searched all over google and these forums for a back seat but I cant find one anywhere. So if someone could please lead me in the right direction or link me to a website that sells them would be awesome. Thank you ~Cylon

The classified section is a great place to find them, just post that you are looking. Also, check with anyone who is tubing out a Sammy, they usually cut the rear end off first.
Are you looking to put it in a Samurai or is it for another vehicle?
-
Its for my Samurai :)
-
I see them all the time on craigslist and ebay.
-
THERE LIKE GOLD, IM LOOKING TOO BUT SOME ARE OVER 200 BUCKS.
-
i have 2 rear seats for samurais... i will sell for $100.00 each plus shiping...
-
i have the rear seat out of my samurai not perfect but all there and folds $75+shipping
-
Had some people looking for them on another forum back in early April so I linked up two locally listed ones from craiglist in So Cal. I checked my old thread on the other forum and they are both sold now.
The first one was free and in "perfect condition". The guy was cleaning his garage and needed it out asap.
The second one was in "good condition" for $30. This guy was also cleaning out extra parts.
Most of them that i see locally around go for about $100 but every once in awhile you can find someone just dumping a rear seat to get it out of the way.
I would suggest posting up on the forums and watching craigslist.
Good luck.

keep searching craigslist. I scored these from craigslist for cheap, and a regular rear at 20 bucks..

I am also looking for a rear seat with the installation hardware, plus seatbelts???
-
seems every ones looking for a back seat (-:. I tired to fit to plastic Summit racing seats back there, not enought room, Im thinking a jeep seet might fit but not sure about hardward, I was wondering if a Tracker seat is interchangable ?
-
Sadly the tracker seat is almost 5 inches too wide. I found that out after I bought one. lol. The plan is to cut the extra five inches out from the seat. and use the stock sammy mounts.
-
good info Factor, many thanks.

I have front seats and back seat off of an 1987. also have seat belts and bracket. .front seats have seat covers for them . make me an offer!!!

Swear,I could have killed my kid...I got a Samurai 4x4 soft top,hes like "oh lets tear the carpet out,get rid of the back seat".So like a idiot I agreed to let him "trade" the rear seat, whatever he got...he traded or lost!!I think it was speakers!! >:(
-
I believe I was told that cj seats fit and I was going to get one but was givin a rear seat by smokincamel which wasnt in the best shape but then the wife reupholstered it and it looks great.
If anyone wants their seat reupholstered similar to mine my wife im sure would do it, the material cost about $40 for the vinyl and with labor I can ask her about that.
-
where do you live? my wife is going to be reupholstering one with black marine vinyl soon here and we will sell it locally for $175. You can also check ebay but they are around $100 plus shipping for a ripped one.

New to this board and am looking for the hardware for the rear seat of my kids "new to him" 88 Sammy. We have a seat, in really good shape actually, but have absolutely zero hardware to mount it. We've tried all over the web to see what the mounts even look like, but so far no luck. I've gathered it needs a bracket of sorts that mounts to the rear of the seat, a strike plate on the rear that bolts to the bed, and some sort of hinges for the front? Is there hardware so the seat does not "flip"? or are they all "tilters"?
My kid wants to keep the Sammy as it was his grandmothers but he will have to get rid of it if he cant get the seat in the back so he can carpool this fall whan he starts college. (yes, two of the kids he will be sharing rides with are short enough) :)
Any insight and/or info would be greatly appreciated.

as far as I know they all tilt. and as far as mounting stuff there is two hinges on the front of the seats that bolt to the floor and they should have rubber stoppers of sorts on the front of the hinges so when they fold forward they dont hit the bed and rub on the top of the seat and ruin the upholstery, second there is a latch on the rear of the seat that is hook like that then attaches to the triker plate that bolts to the floor. Lowrangeoffroad should have some used parts as well as, hawk suzuki, and trail tough. I get all my used parts from trail tough and all my new parts from lowrangeoffroad.
-
Thanks Airman. Ive been to those sites plus half a dozen others. Now that I know just what all the peices are, I can at least intelligently e-mail with a "wish lsit".
Thanks again!

-
yup always email or call the vendors for parts you dont see on their sites, ive seen many that give up if they dont see the parts on the websites. Trailtough and lowrange get back to you super quick too.
-
hhmmm... Took a closer look at the seat and it looks nothing like any of the tilting seats I have seen. I know it's for this samurai as the front legs line up with mounts holes in the floorboard, but there is no place to bolt down the rear. It definately looks like a "Rigid" mount, but some piece is missing and for the life of me, I just can not seem to identify it.
??? ???

looks like a jeep seat to me, many people swap jeep rear seats in. if you cant make it safe and bolt the rear I would say sell it and find a samurai one in the local classifieds.
-
If you ever need a hard to find part, such as the hinges for the original seat, give Hawk Suzuki a call. They can hook you up with just about anything or tell you where to find it.
airmanwilliams is right about that not being a Sammy seat. Not even an SJ-410 one.
-
Definately good to know this isnt a Sammy seat. We got teh car from the 2nd owner, who purchased it back in 91. The material on this seats is the same as in the front seats, so I assumed.....
But... At least that explains why nothing I was looking for matched up with what I was seeing.
Thanks both for the replies!
