Title: 1994 4 door Sidekick
Post by: pa jeep on April 20, 2010, 08:05:02 AM
After purchasing a new 2010 SX4 our will used (211,000 miles) and much loved 94 Sidekick has become a little used 3rd vehicle. My daily driver is a 2004 Jeep TJ and I'm running the Sidekick 1 day a week just to run it. I'm doing a little maintenance on it and I'm going to get it inspected in May. It looks and runs good; doesn't burn oil or leak except for a very slight drip from the rear pinion seal. My dilemma is once it's inspected should I keep it or sell it. I don't know if they are worth anything and since I like it I'd hope it could go to someone who will take good care of it. I already have one project vehicle with the Jeep and I don't need another. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

thanks

id say if its in good shape and you dont need the money,...keep it for a backup rig...or you could donate it to the " joe dirt fund"...lol ;D

I don't think I'll be making any donations. I'm leaning towards selling it after it's inspected as I don't think I can keep up with maintaining 4 cars by myself. I was thinking $1000; does that sound like a decent ballpark figure?

Based on your description I don't think you'll have any trouble selling it for 1000.  If your not in a hurry I think I would start at 2000 and see what happens.  The miles are high but if you have maintenance records then the miles are not as big of a deal.

I have all of the maintenance records since it was new. Thanks for the advice.
