My cast iron manifold is cracked about in half! I need to replace it & I have seen pics of a factory header style manifold available on some 2.0's (not cast iron). Can anyone tell what years these were available. Also, mine is the Canada made 2 bolt flange. Are any of these header style manifolds 2 bolt?
Thanks alot,
Eric

I'm thinking Ian probably has the info you need on this. He has (for one) the parts info which he shares regularly on the forum.
I owned a 2000 Tracker but to be honest, never really looked at the exhaust manifold (with heat shield in place) as the exhaust never gave me any issues. Actually, nothing on the truck gave me any issues. My 2002 Trackers DO have the tubed exhaust manifold on them. I discovered this when searching for a 2Liter header for one of my trucks. The only ones I actually found were out of Australia, I believe they were "Hurricane" brand headers. Anyway, when replacing an exhaust donut I noticed how the factory tubed exhausts DID look like mini headers and figured my power gains from an actual after market header would be minimal (given the cost and freight from Australia) and opted not to pursue the aftermarket header ALTHOUGH I will also say the Hurricane sales persons were very helpful when discussing my application need. I decided their 2 liter header (built for right hand drive model GVs WOULD work (clear the steering shaft) on my Tracker.

So your 2002 has a tubular one on it? is yours the 2 or 3 bolt style? Also do you know if your 02 Tracker is California equipped? (Mine isn't)

Mine have the tube "mini-header" type exhaust manifold on them with the two-bolt flanges. Mine are not CA emission equipped trucks.

The new style exhaust manifold (14111-65D00; Federal, California and Canada) replaced the original (14111-58BV0; Federal, California and Canada) in the 01 model year.

Thanks IanL!

I just found a "header" style one yesterday |removethispart|@ a local yard & it was off a 2000. Now to see if I can get either my flange to work with it or find another that will bolt on since I wont be using the cat that originally bolted to it.

Good luck to yoose! Worse case... grab the front exhaust pipe with cat from the same or newer truck. They just didn't change too many parts on these trucks from year to year.

I just thought I would do a quick update. The junkyard would not sell the downpipe with the cat to me so I went to my local muffler shop & found a 3" 3 bolt flange. (it happened to be the same flange that is used on collectors on most V8 performance headers so I just went to the local Advance Auto & picked up a good set of Fel-Pro collector gaskets out in their performace section) Then went to the local nut & bolt shop & bought some 7/16" stainless nuts & bolts to use as the hardware. Then when I went to the local muffler shop & they took a piece of 2 1/2" & opened it up to 3" & welded it to the flange so a pipe could be mounted to it & then made a downpipe & rehooked up to the exhaust for $70. So in total I paid $80 for the new manifold, $10 for bolts, $11 for collector gaskets, $6 for the flange plus $70 for the downpipe & labor =$177 & change. Not too bad plus I upgraded to alot better manifold.
