I really dont know, but whenever I hit the horn on my 87 sammy, it just sounds like, really pathetic. I've honestly had weak motorcycle horns sound better. to my knowledge all the wiring is clean and good, as are all my contacts that I could find to check/clean.
I"m seriously debating an upgrade, but I cant decide what kind of horn I want for it, besides louder/less gay. Then again any old school caddillac fleetwood brougham horn set would significantly upgrade my sound. well, if I can figure out where/how to mount em.

Its that lame....

2 words: TRAIN HORN!!!!!!!!!! My buddy has a 3 horn air train horn on an 83 Toyota Hilux and it is LOUD. It will literally scare anyone who is near it. You can get one on ebay for about $120.

If I go train horn, I'm putting the K5LA trumpet set and compressor tank in my rig. problem is those are effin HUGE. caddillac horns, if you'eve ever heard the stock ones, are pretty beefy sounding, at least in the 80s/early 90's full size sedans.

I like the Harbor Freight horn. Right now it's only $9.99. :D

The stock ones are lame. I can not wait to get my ac converted to on board air, so I can get an air horn! They get some attention! We have one on the Sami that is operator by a pull cord right below the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Had a guy once think that was the hood release ::) and pulled it. He nearly crapped his pants!

I will post pics as soon at my triple trumpet is finished... ;D
