Title: 1.8L crank position sensor location

my 96 sidekick sport just had the ceck engine light come on and he code is po335. the dealer told me that the sensor is at back of motor and tranny has to come out to get to it. is this correct?

Yup - it's behind the flywheel - you can either pull the engine or drop the transmission.

I would suggest checking the wiring as the first step though.

will check the wiring first , wanted a second opinion before tearing tranny out. thanks for info!
