Post by: yzf438 on April 29, 2010, 07:17:26 PM
I m sure this has been covered somewhere but I picked up a 95 toyota wrecked complete with a good 22r. and a 5 spd.
how much work to put this motor into a 88 sami.
thinking I ll use the yota tranny with it.  anyone ever do this??

I know there is a guy up near apple valley that has put one into a sidekick and was working on a kit. I can't imagine a sammi would be much harder. you have the whole wrecked car so you can pull all the wiring you need. sounds like a good project...or junk the body and put a formula toy cage on it and run it.

The 22r's are excellent but aren't they too heavy for conversion---Aren't the trackers aluminum?
