Title: Old Man EMU shocks on Calmin 3-inch suspension
Post by: wiretap_MD on July 11, 2004, 03:39:09 AM
Guys, my present suspension setup consists of Old Man EMU coilsprings and shocks together with the 1 1/8 inch Rocky road coilspacer and a custom 2-inch body lift.  I'll be upgrading soon to a Calmini 3-inch suspension setup.  I have a few questions:

1.  How do the Calmini shocks differ from the stock factory shocks and Old Man shocks in terms of length and travel?  From what I know, OME front shocks for the vitara has a total of 7.3" of travel from fully compressed to extended. and the rear being 7.4".

2.  Is there anything special with regards to the Calmini shocks?  Or are they merely stock OEM shocks that were modified a bit and repainted blue and white?

3.  In my opinion, I feel that the Old Man Nitrochargers perform and are built better than Calmini shocks.  CAN I USE MY EXISTING FRONT AND REAR OLD MAN SHOCKS WITH MY CALMINI 3-INCH SUSPENSION KIT?

Thanks in advance for all your inputs...
