Title: budget lift 2dr kick?
Post by: mike5721947 on May 06, 2010, 04:40:36 PM
ok. ive read up that the springs out of a grand vitara will give me 2 inches of lift. but im unsure if both front and rears will fit.

im also wondering what to do for a strut spacer. ive heard exhaust flanges work but for what? small block chev, etc? i want to get it spaced down an inch plus doing the strut flip. to get it all working right.

:D

You can find some other questions over at the faq at http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/technical-discussion-beginner-repair/faq-topic-index/ (http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/technical-discussion-beginner-repair/faq-topic-index/)

I run the Grand Vit springs in the front of mine, I like them better then the coils but they are still a bit stiffer then the OME springs.  A set of cut down XL7 springs might be nice, as they are lighter then the Grand Vit springs by a few pounds so will soak up bumps a bit more.

If you want to give the coil spacers a try, give a shout to Jeff on this board.

You could just buy the one I make. It includes 2-1.5" coil spacers for the front, 2-2" for the rear and 2-1.5" strut spacers and all hardware needed for $140 to the US or $155 to Canada. You will need longer rear shocks also.

im compairing 60 bucks for the gv springs, to 170 plus duty for the spacers. i have a steel front bumper with a winch to go on the front. im also looking at these springs for something simple, thats now. i want to pickup th OME kit sometime in the future so the least amount of money spent on stuff im going to replace later on the better.

if i do go with your kit jeff, will i be able to get it shipped here in under 2 weeks? i gotta get this truck up in the air for a local suzuki meet at the end of the month.

I would love to say yes but the USPS is not the fastest to you guys sometimes. Most guys on ebay get their stuff in 7 days but it can take longer.
