Title: fuel injection to carb?

anyone on here taken a fuel injection and changed it to carb? is the fuel pump the same on both? thanks

Fuel pump pressure would be different.

We need more specifics to answer your question better. Like, what vehicle?

ive got a 1994 samurai fuel injected. the other one is a 1988 samurai.

if you wanna sell the fuel injection system (if it will work on my 87 sami) ill gladly take it off your hands ;D

Yeah, that's a great system on your Samurai... I'm surprized you'd want to change it out. But if you do, you'd want to get a distributor from a carb'd model, a fuel pressure regulator that regulates  at around 1 to 5 lbs, and the intake / carb assembly off of your donor... You also need all the wiring because the carb is computer controlled...  YOu could do a Weber and then you wouldn't need the computer and wiring but you'd still need the intake from the carb'd Samurai.

FWIW: there really is no benefit to doing this. It would be a big step backwards in performance and reliabilty.

May I ask why you are entertaining this idea?
