My '87 Sammy has had a screwdriver driven into the ignition, failed theft attempt. I got the lock to turn again with the key but if it's supposed to it doesn't lock the column. I can't find a replacement and if I use it as is I'm worried about the steering wheel locking when I don't want it to. I'm going to be towing it flat with a towbar.
All response appreciated.

autozone has the lock assembly for 40 bucks online it looks like it has the steering lock

You can also give Hawk Suzuki a call, they should be able to hook you up with the parts you need. They are great to deal with when it comes to non-standard part replacements.

hawk suzuki is probaly the best bet atleast you know you will get the right part the first time

if you do not ever want it to lock again you could probably cut/grind off the part that locks into the side of the steering shaft, not necessarily the best way to go but it is cheap LOL

Thanks all for your help, I'm giving Hawk a call.
