Which year model Suzuki Sidekick or Geo Tracker 1.6L 16v engine would be the easiest and cheapest swap to do? I have done some research but I haven't found anything conclusive. Thanks in advance.

Anything pre-1996 requires a little less wiring. The 1995 model has synchronous injection but without the hassles of OBD2.

Cheap and easiest depend greatly on #1, how many of the required components do you have on hand? engine, wiring, ECU etc, #2, are you able to obtain a complete donor vehicle with the required components inexpensively? I dont know about a lot of you guys, but this is how I'd go. get a complete wrecked donor and you've got all the needed wiring and such to swap over.

That is why im asking so that i can buy an entire vehicle and not have to search for missing parts!!!

Ya, get the whole vehicle, but in that case, the year really doesn't
mater because you would have all the parts you need, so it boils
down to the best price and the condition of the engine and stuff
you are going to need, like any driveline and gears you may swap
over as well.
My dream is to find a rolled XL7 motorhome pusher with 25K on the clock ;D
