My Calmini SR sits about 1' lower in back what can I do to even it out? how long of a shackle do I need for the rear?

CR ?

I think he's talking about a shackle reversal
-
You're all set up for desert scootin' now! But seriously, the stock kit does usually result in the rear being lower than the front. A rear shackle that is 1.5" longer than the one provided will get you in the ball park. Of course this depends on what you have in the back of the vehicle as far as weight and how roached your springs are.

True that. Got a question for you: is it a tintop or convertible? Cause I'm thinking that weight can make a difference.
I'm thinking you meant 1" instead of 1'. Because if you were 1' low in the back then I would say you might be MISSING your leaf spring entirely
And, does anyone else have this problem with the shackle reversal? Because it comes with a rear shackle kit, too, right?
I've been thinking about doing this and 235's if and when I get a Samurai in addition to keeping my Tracker.

Soft top and yes it comes with a rear boomerang shackle it isnt really noticeable but it does sit lower Im not sure how long of a shackle I need in the rear to make it sit even, Im thinking the missing link and a 2' lift shackle will do it.

Man I need to proof read before I post, sorry about that, I did wonder what the reverse shackle ment and there boomarang design. In about a week Ill be ordering some suspension from Calmini, just not sure there 3 inch lift kit, well make 235's clear with out triming, do i nee to go 5 inch ?
-
Can you post a picture? I'm really curious to see how it sits right now with the shackle reverse kit and rear boomerang shackles
-
If I remember rightly the SR kit is supplied with 1" lift shackles (2" longer) for the rear but the front end is lifted 2" by the SR itself, always struck me as a bit odd.

I run 30x9.5 BFGs on stock rims on a Samurai w/the shackle reverse lift only. Now trimming other than a little of the stock bumper end and hammering the seam on the rear of the front wheel well. No rubbing.... As stated above, I do have a 1.5 longer shackle than the boomerrang to level the ride.

Sure... the one that's on the car is from Calmini. I'm not sure if they still make them or not... Give them a call. It's straight and about 1.5" longer than their standard boomerang shackle.
