Title: 1.6 swap
Post by: oak_raid on May 18, 2010, 10:59:54 AM
Have a line on a 92 tracker for $500.  Guy says the engine is strong, although I havent got into any specifics yet.

Needs links to any specific instructions on the 1.6 swap into a samurai.  I remember reading somewhere that the wiring harness is also needed.

Any info is appreciated.

This (http://zukioffroad.com/Tech_Library/engine_swaps.htm) might help - I believe there are also a few other write ups on the net (google should find them) and a few places offer kits.

I think lowrangeoffroad, or trailtough offer a wire harness modification  if you provide the donor harnesses from your sidekick and samurai.  assuming thats what you're putting the motor into...
