Title: 2inch TJ spacers compatible with Calmini 3-inch?
Post by: wiretap_MD on July 07, 2004, 06:53:55 AM
Hi! I'm contemplating in ordering the Calmini 3-inch suspension soon.  I was just wondering if I could use my 2-inch TJ/XJ Jeep coil spacers with it?  If camber issues would be a problem, I already have the camber bolts.  Please enlighten me. Thanks in advance!

It may be pretty hard on your front end components. (IE Struts and CV joints)

I know that the struts already sit really high on their stroke with the 3" lift, so if you add 2" spacers it would probably max them out. (though don't quote me on that)

Same goes for CVs.

Yes, you could but as Kreg stated you will probably be topping out your struts quite a bit. The Wheeler's coils spacer article describes what you are talking about.

Good luck, Eric

Hmmm...Wheeler's used a 3/4 inch poly spacer.  What if I used Rockyroad's 1 1/8 inch spacer instead?

Without some Hagen-esque front-end mods, any spacing with the 3" calmini kit seems like a relatively bad idea.
