Title: Samurai Proportioning Valve
Post by: Spokerider on May 26, 2010, 02:17:57 PM
Have a leaky rear brake proportioning valve on the 87 sami.

Anyone know if there is an import donor vehicle out there in the scrap yards that would have a close fit, minimum amout of modifying to make functional?

Seems most sami`s sucumb to these leaky valves eventually...........

Good luck with finding a donor.
I ended up paying around $125 for mine from Suzuki.

What I wish to avoid...........

The sami valve bolts up mto the inside of the pass side frame rail, just back from the transfer case.

Does yours split into two lines, one running to each drum or is it a single line that goes through one drum then back to another?

Also, do you have two lines going back to the rear end from your front master cylinder or a single line?
