I emailed Trail Tough and asked if they were thinking about offering the bumpers they make for the

1st gen TracKicks to the GrandVitTracker crowd. This is the responce.
"Yes, the first articles are made and we are working on fixtures for production. - Month or two out.".
If this is offered at the same price as the ones for the 1st gen, I've found my bumper

Fingers crossed.

Sweet!

I'd buy one without hesitation.
Not only is there basically no other bumpers available for the 2nd gen trackers, but it's a good design and looks great.

Here is a couple pictures of some bumperes we built for a customer. He wanted them with receivers front and back so he can use his receiver style winch front or back. We did powder coat the bumpers black, just don't have the pics loaded yet. If there is enough interest we would consider making them for the 2nd gen

I'd definitely be interested Mudchild, but price will be the deciding factor. I guess the number you could sell would have a big affect on the price.

Yes I total understand and for me interst and or commitment is the deciding factor as to what the final cost will be. The more people that want them the better pricing I can offer. For me to make one off stuff is just not worth it.

i would be up for them, can you modify the front to hold a winch also? i love tube bumbers.

agreed. receivers are nice, but i'd be looking to directly mount a winch. something just like the Trail Tough bumper above.
group buy anyone?

I can make them both ways, the basic design would be the same, so it would not be to much extra work to add the which mount.

mudchild, you are in B.C that might put me out due to shipping expense unless you give me a drawing so i can weld them together myself and maybe some breaks on the cost.

I will need a few more people to commit to buying them (or at least some serious interest) before we start making them. These bumpers are something we would like to offer but with out enough interest it's not worth spending the time to design them.

Try to figure a ballpark price with and without winch mounts and maybe add the weld it yourself option in there to save on shipping for us USA guy's and lets see if we can get a group buy going.

I would be interested in one. Is there anywhere to mount lights?

Make the price reasonable and I'll send 50% of said price up front and once built the other 50% will follow.
If you build it before hand at a reasonable price with pics I'll send full payment up front! I want a front tube/hitch bumper.

Totally agree. The GV/Tracker has now been around long enough that the aftermarket demand for "parts" is growing and will continue to grow and (I believe) will shortly out-strip demand for Sammies and the 1st Gen trucks. Every business has a cycle and when the older trucks start rusting and disappearing from the road we'll drive what's available. The stock suspension modifications have been pretty well covered by a few individuals and companies like OME, Calmini, Jeff, Mudchild and Mastercraft(?). Affordable aftermarket bumpers are still kinda wide open as Calmini and ARB appear to be the dominant venders for heavy expensive bumpers not sure about Zor... but the point is bumpers front AND rear are still wide open as is someone making and marketing diff drops and aftermarket A-arms and making them available individually. He who markets the most of these parts and gets there first with a quality, affordable product... will dominate the 2nd generation truck after market sales, I think. Sales on parts for these trucks will run for about ten years then something else will come up.
