Who here has replaced their non folding tree hook mirrors with mirrors other than stock? What have you done? Got any pics? After my close encounter with a tree this weekend I am replacing yet another Kick non folding mirror. (first one on the new ride, probably replaced 4-5 on the old ride).
I have wanted to do some style of folding mirror, but have only seen stock mirrors on Kicks.

I don't have any pics yet, but I replaced mine with folding mirrors from A1 Auto, about $45 each. I found them online but don't have a link. They're on ebay under " Geo Tracker " too. Pretty good quality, although the actual mirror glass is slightly smaller due the the folding capibility I think. " Thumbs Up " rating for me.
Zukipilot, If you want to hold off on the stock replacement and take a look athe the A1 Auto mirrors, You'll probably be happier spending the $ on the folding mirrorts.

Opps, it's actually 1A Auto!

I'm good with the stocker right now. I am planning on upgrading to a floding type but not immidarely. My next addition is PIAA lamps and a Scangage on board computer moniter. The mirrors will come later this summer (or next time I rip one off).

Always meant to do this myself. May check those out, Bentpart! The last time I knocked one off I put it back on with silicone! So now it has some give to it and has worked pretty good!

My UK Vit has folding mirrors as stock, although they aren't electric. The dollar is pretty strong at the moment so you might get some cheap form eBay.co.uk

Can you post me a pic of them? I'm wanting to see how thick they are. The stock mirrors I have would only clear a couple of inches more if folded (they are so thick.

I put mirrors off a Chev S10 or S15 on mine and they fold in fairly close

Hey Zig,
I just installed electric, folding side mirrors from a '95 Vitara JLX (UK model) onto my '94 Sidekick JLX (US model)...
Fit is perfect and they work fine. I'm currently looking in to some slight adjustments as they are calibrated for a right hand drive setup... and since we're left hand drive in the states, the mirror's adjustability is a little off. Basically the left hand side sits at a slightly sharper angle and is also slightly convex. The right hand side is less angle (more open) and not convexed.
Shouldn't be too hard to fix, either by adjusting the internal mirror motor mount or the external mirror body mount on the hinge. The right hand side doesn't need any modifying.
Other possibility is using mirror parts from my US mirrors... I will be trying stuff soon.
Hope this info helps.

Just checked Ebay, geo tracker/ sidekick folding mirror SETS left and right $69! I have a set on mine for a couple years now, work great, fit like stock and are pretty tough. I also paid a LOT more. Get 'em while ya can.

If you need to fold your mirror, slow down and quietly turn around as soon as you safely can. You are on a single track! Lol
