Title: Problem Solved!!!
Post by: Speedracer7c on July 03, 2004, 02:57:06 AM
I am happy to say that my tracker issues are now solved! As per wilds info I checked the ignition timing, it was supposed to be between 4-6 degrees and was at pretty much zero, I think that is because when i went to loosen the disty bolt the thing was pretty loose and I think it just worked it self out. Well that is the best news today and let me tell you this thing has more power than it has ever had! Woo hoo!!!

Thats good news. i knew it was your timming, as posted before.  hopefully you didn't spend to much on useless stuff that you didn't need. If you did at least you'll have it when they don't work. pierre

Hey, glad to hear your back on the road  :)
Set your advance to 10* .
You can go more also like 11* or 12*
if you don't have any pinging problems,
it will run better yet  ;)

Timing is measured in crankshaft degrees before the piston reaches top dead center. If you advance it, the plugs spark before TDC, if you retard it, they spark after TDC.
