Title: just put a new weber on my samurai

hey i am new to the suzuki samurai i got mine 2 weeks ago and i love it had it up in the woods once and it flooded out when i would compression break it so i got a weber carb for an upgrade it idles fine but when you put your foot in it it bogs down do i need a fuel regulator or something

You don't need anything special to run a webber on the 1.3...Is it new or used. Check for vacume leaks at the base plate. Webbers will still idle when they are about to fall off from loose hold down nuts, untill you try to give it gas. Make sure your air mix screw is 1 1/4 turns out. Use Loc Tite on the baseplate studs or they will work loose...then you will have to pull the carb to retighten them. Pain in the Ace. Just my two cents...Gary

it was ran on my buddies truck for about 100 miles and i bought it from him i used loctight no leaks or anything

not sure about the problem but your weber will run better with a fuel pressure regulator.  I have mine set at 2.5 pounds.  keeps it from flooding out on rough roads.

ok thanks i will get one and set it at 2.5 thanks i am new to the samurai thing so far i love my 87 samurai

you sure your fuel pump is running ok>? did you replace the fuel filter? i have been having some problems with my stock carb pluging up and a new filter and hoses made a huge diff.

yeah i tried that first but didnt seem to fix the problem................................................................. thats enough periods for all my posts hahaha
