Title: Ford truck question. transmission related
Post by: Bobthebiker on June 13, 2010, 07:19:27 AM
I'm looking at a 1994 F150  with a  5 spd manual and the 302 in it,    owner says its stuck in 3rd gear.

does anyone have an idea on what might be the issue?     off the top of my head, I'm thinking either fried transmission, or a shifter sheet, but I'm not sure.

At least they circled the problem, highlighted it blue, and stamped it on the grill for ya. ;)

Just kidding, lol

yeahhh  about that.    kinda hate when people say something like that.  next one I meet that does gets taint kickd.

but i did a little reading, it seems like it may be an easy fix, so I think I know what I need to do, I'm probably going to try and get it so I can play with it.     I loves me some Ford truckin.   best work trucks EVER.

I'm used to a lot of the old school stuff, and diesels.  the M5R2 transmission is an unfamiliar unit,  but not really worth it.

Not that it made any difference.  it looks like the transmission is junk, so the truck pretty much became worthless to me.
