For what it's worth... if you're trying to get 2wd low, I've talked to two people now who've just cracked the case apart, did some fiddling / mods and just made it all work with one stick. Can't remember what they did, but they both said it was "obvious what to do" once they cracked the case and figured out how it works. So, if you're feeling brave...

Anyone know why Rock4x Fab's (rockrat) site is down?  I'm trying to find their phone number.  They make a twin stick as well, but it's not on the site.
Evil Twin told me that they had no set date, so it might be in the very early stages of R&D.
Stan's seems good, I'm trying to get his, but I will have to wait until he contacts me back.  He mentioned that he is in the process of making a boot, I assume for the interior.  But, I have seen people just use the Dana 300 twin boot and it looks just fine (I think skitime was the one who did that).

I have Stan's in my Kick and Rockrat's in my Sammi, both with the Dana boot inside.

Got a picture of either installed?  I've found pictures of each stick kit, but haven't seen any installed...wondering how long the sticks are...do they get in the way of the passenger seat?  Don't want my co-pilot bumping his elbow and accidentally throwing it out of gear.
Called Scott today (nice guy).  His site and phones are down but he is definitely still open for business.

This is in my Kick. It has no bodylift and those are Recaro's which take up a bit more room than the standard seats.

We raffled a TracKick TwinStick kit provided by Rock4X Offroad at the 2010 ZookiMelt the weekend of July 10.  I held it up to show it to the the audience so I had an opportunity to look at it closely. It looked very well-built.

More importantly, it was real - not "vaporware".

Give Scott a call.  See djlantis57's post, above for the #.

i've been using stan's sticks.
i used a piece of a chemical glove for the t case boot and sewed my own boot for the cab.
interesting looking, but functional.
they kinda show here.

there would be no interference w/the passenger seat(i don't have one) or the hand brake lever.
no issues- love the 2w/low.

Okay.  Much shorter than I imagined.  The pics I was able to find of each one made them look really long.  I guess I'm not considering the length of the shifter that goes down into the case, and the length between the case and the floorboard.  Now that I look at it further, they look just right.

With twin sticks you can get 2 lo. Does that mean with 4.24 transfer case gears you can drive around (on the trails) in 2 lo and get the same reduction you would get in 4 lo?

current: 16v 3 spd auto, 4.30 22 spline, 2" coil spacer 3" body  31's on 15x7 2.5 BS

thinking: 16v 3 spd auto, 5.12 26 spline (already have)
3" Calmini suspension (early Christmas coming soon!!! I'm my own Santa Clause )
                                    Stans twin stick (PM'ed yesterday)
4.24 Rockmonster t case gears (unless anyone has any better ideas)
front locker (not convinced I need a rear, can someone sell me on it?)
                                    33x10.5
What do you guys think?

Yes you get low in 2wd just like in 4 low, that being said, get the rear
locker so when you use your twin stick you can drive through the tough
stuff without having to kick in the front axle for traction

Ok Wild, you convinced me ::) rear locker is added to the list. With the 3 speed auto, 5.12's and 4.24 t case gears would I be better off with 33's or 34's? Or should I go with 4.62's (which I also have) and 34's?

At least get the 5.12 diff gears, 4.62s are stock in earlier Auto Trans
kicks, like mine, I have 5.83s and think I want a Undertaker from Trail Tough
but also need to get 5.12 gears to go with it

If you want to get rid of those 4.62's lemme  know. Go with the 33's, 5.12's, you'll dig it.

Update:  I got rockrat's twin stick shipped the other day.  It looks great.  Just have to put it in the new case...but haven't ordered that yet, either  >:( well I will post pics of the install process to help future people.  Scott's instructions were very clear, it seems easy enough.
By the way, good business from Scott.  Parts look great, pricing was right, good to buy from.

To all who've installed a twin stick.  Does the 4wd indicator light still work as it should?  Or does messing with a twin stick screw that up?  It's not a necessity, but I'd sure like if it functioned normally  ???

Lights work normal, they turn on and off with the shift shaft positions

I figured so...wasn't sure.  If they didn't anyways, it'd still be worth it to have the extra function.
I'll probably use the Dana 300 twin boot for the interior...seems like a lot of people have had good luck with that.

I will as soon as I get it done.  I won't detail the part about removing the center detent ball, though...I am leaving that up to the shop building my case.

the center detent is the only tricky part, kinda what I was wondering about. I have rock4x twins ready to go in just have not done it yet. would like too see pics of others doing it. (well not actually "DOING IT")(well maybe.....)

It's that detent ball that is between the two shafts that needs to
be removed so each shaft can be moved independently. Not a big deal
to do

I had Stans in my 94 2 door track/ very easy install since i was doing the gears at the same time. Looks good and performed well.
They got my vote.

As of today, Trail Tough is officially building my case.  They are going to leave the detent ball out for me.  So I get the case, bolt it up, throw the sticks in, and mash the hell out of it.

Twin stick was 169.99 shipped to my door, and it came with a boot (for the case, I still have to supply my own interior boot).
Transfer case was 649 for gearset, 995 installed, and a $200 core.  It will be $1,195, plus shipping, and I will keep my old case as a "spare"
