Hey guys,
I've got a 2000 Chevy Tracker w/ 2.0L. I've been working on and I think I just about have my ignition miss figure out, but I will need to set the timing. The factory boys get to use the Tech 1 tool, but you are supposed to be able to set it manually by jumper a couple of pins on the 'monitor plug'. Problem is I can't find the stupid thing. FSM shows it located between ABS stuff and the window washer reservoir. But I've looked all under the hood and can't locate it. From the pic in the FSM it's supposed to look just like the diag plugs on the older trackers, 6 pin connector covered by a rubber cap secured to the wiring by a short tether. Thoughts? I've checked under the dash as well.....
Side note... The FSM I have is actually for a Vitara, but still...
Thanks!

The monitor plug is only on OBD1 models. I assume yours is a US model therefore it will be OBD2, you need an OBD2 scantool. I understand that many parts shops like Autozone will perform a scan for free but bear in mind that a fault code indicates a problem with a circuit not neccesarily a sensor failure so check out the wiring before throwing parts at it.
