I have a 90 geo tracker with a bad automatic transmission. Does anyone know who sells master rebuild kits for it or could i buy a transmission from another year tracker/sidekick that would fit?
-
Do a google search for rebuild kits. A trackick 3 speed auto tranny is the same as a TH180 tranny. So look for kits for those trannys.
All 3 speed auto trannys that came in trackicks from 89-98 are a direct swap for yours. Just make sure you get either a 2wd or a 4wd tranny....whichever matches yours.

Did they ever build a 2WD with an auto trans? I don't ever
remember seeing one

Yep. I've had, or have, a few 2wd autos.

Yes, seen a few of them around here. Also check craigslists for trannys.

I guess because the auto trans comes in the JLX model it's usually
equipped with 4WD also, but when the Trackers entered the market
I did see other builds that sort of didn't follow along with the Suzuki
badged trucks

Thanks for all the help. I found a rebuild kit locally here in florida. Any one know what gears i could put in the diffs to run 33"s. i want something thats good for on the road and offroad use. but more toward offroad part.

The best you can do in stock axle housings is 5.83s, and they are out of production
but I have a set I want to sell that have lockers installed in them
