Title: High-Tec Retreading
Post by: explosivo on June 24, 2004, 08:20:55 PM
I'm thinking about getting a set of these tires, and wanted to know which is better, the regular MT's or the OTR's? Anyone have experience with either or both?

on other boards people have raved about them never heard a bad word however be aware alot of states retreads are illegal so check your local state inspector first before you buy!

http://www.pavementsucks.com forums have a lot of info on high-tec retreads.  Do a search for retreads.  Most of the comments are positive about them.  I put a set on my Tracker last week.  I like them a lot.  They work well offroad and aren't too noisy on road.  From what I have read I think the OTR muds are a copy of the Cooper tread while the regulars are a copy of the Dunlop Rover tread.

Thanks for the link. I'm gonna go dig around now ;)

If the OTR's are a copy of the Cooper Discoverer STTs, that'll work, considering I have a set of 33x12.50's on my black Tracker that seem to do alright for being as bald as they are :)
