For over 10 years, the Zukiworld Powerfest held in the Tillamook State Forest's OHV area has provided Suzuki enthusiasts with an enjoyable experience. Over the course of this decade we have seen the trail system and it's management change several times, usually for the better but sometimes not. Additionally, the weather in Oregon during the month of October has usually been pretty typical for the Pacific Northwest meaning to say that it's not conducive to a large outdoor gathering where we want to encourage engagement and mingling amongst the participants.
For these two reasons we have decided to recreate the event and shape it into an activity that provides more interaction between participants and offers more varied and challenging group and/or individual activities. To do this, we have decided to postpone this year's event and open the floor up for ideas from potential participants as to what they'd like to see in an event.
Some guiding principles are that:
- The event will be held somewhere in the PNW (Oregon, Washington, Western Idaho, Northern California)
- It needs to be for Suzuki enthusiasts only and not a mix
- Should be affordable
We are looking for venue ideas (perferably a privately owned location), activity ideas, when (what date/time of the year), and volunteers to develop the event and to work the event when it happens. I will create a couple of threads here in this sub-forum to aid in discussion. However, if you have an idea, please pop it up here so we can discuss it.
