I'm have a problem with the 1.6 8V in my 91 sidekick. Its idling rough and running rough still about 2500 rpm then it seem to smooth out .I have put a new fuel filter .TPS , fuel injector (used) .35 PSI fuel pressure.New O2 sensor. CTS Checks out .IAT checks out. No vacuum leaks or exhaust leaks.Changed MAP (used) Tried a different coil .Change the distributor.(used)New cap, rotor, wire.I recently rebuilt the engine .The only thing I found is the alternator voltage is 18 + volts. Could high voltage make it run rough?

No codes.

Ya, could fry computer parts too, as well as feeding too high
voltage as reference signals for the sensors

Over charging well boil your battery and get acid on every thing I wound change it before I would start it again till you change the altenator

Bad volt meter reads 3.5 volts higher than should.Autozone checked the alternater Checked good.I will Start a new post I will have to reset TPS and recheck all the sensors.Any ideas would be helpful.
