Title: transmission problem
Post by: brace on June 28, 2004, 05:57:09 AM
When I bought the transmission from the junk yard the wires were cut.  I disconnect the ones off my bad transmission, but the wires on the most forward of the two were broken by me during removal.  Does it matter how I connect the wires?

Probably. I think it has to do with 5th gear and reverse. The Sami runs a little different in 5th gear or something like that.

I have a junk trans (doesn't spin at all) from an old Sami I once had (should have kept). I'll see if the sensors are on it.

One of those plugs are for the EGR valve when you put the truck in fifth gear.
